Pre-Employment Checks

Private HomeCare has a very strict vetting process in terms of the candidate’s suitability for the role. The next step is the most critical. Each Private HomeCare staff member must be reference checked with former employers, an Garda Síochána, and International Police Clearance if required. We have a tried and trusted system in place to streamline this necessary but administrative task. Trust us to do this for your organisation so you can focus on doing what’s best for your clients.

Staff Development Centre

Private HomeCare training can be customised to align with your company’s goals, industry, products, and culture. This allows our staff to focus specifically on your organisation’s context, making our staff immediately available to you.  Private HomeCare took the decision to seriously invest in training in 2016 and so set up our own internal training department with a full-time team, rather than outsourcing our training department.  The very nature of providing professional healthcare means that every staff member must be trained, at a minimum, to the basic national requirements set out by the HSE.

Carer Training

Many carers enter the professional world of caring following personal experience. They discover that caring can be a very rewarding and fulfilling career. However the very nature of caring means that every carer must be trained, at a minimum, to the basic national requirements set out by the HSE.

We took the decision to invest seriously in training in 2016 and so set up our own internal training department with a fulltime team, rather than outsourcing our training.

Our Home Care Assistants now learn from our experience as well as the QQI curriculum. Our Training Manager has ten years of the care industry before she became a trainer. And our learners feel confident with our supportive style. One of the highlights of our year is to see the number of Home Care Assistants who decide to study to Major level and graduate.
