What the Course Covers
Delivered monthly at our training centre in Lucan, the course runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and combines both theory-based learning and practical skills training.

- Private HomeCare structure, values & expectations
- Operational know-how: clocking in/out, digital tasks, schedules
- Professional presentation and dress code
- Understanding and implementing care plans
- GDPR, confidentiality and accountability
- Dementia awareness and communication techniques
- Medication management and mandatory training
- Infection prevention & control (IPC) and hand hygiene
???? Practical Skills Training Includes:
- Correct use of PPE and infection control protocols
- Personal care skills using the ‘Meet Susie’ model (dressing, hygiene, grooming, oral and skin care, incontinence care)
- Safe manual handling: rolling clients, sitting them forward, using sliding sheets, and adjusting profile beds
???? Assessment & Certification:
All participants must engage fully in both theoretical and practical sessions. Assessment is carried out via scenario-based exercises and live demonstrations.
